The Affiliate Mentoring Program
The Creative Journey of the Heart

Summary

This mentoring and training program has been developed with extensive input and feedback from the entire group of affiliates. With guidance from Katherine, spirited discussion, and mind-mapping exercises during our first meeting together, it was decided to structure the work into the three sections you see listed below.

I. Working with Your Mentor

This is individual time with Katherine, usually on the phone, or in person if possible. This time occurs on a monthly basis, or as needed, depending upon individual agreements made during the first month.

II. Acquiring Skills Through Guided Study of Packets and Web Classes

The program has been designed to instruct students at all levels of study. If you wish to fully explore the depth of Black Sect Teachings, this is the place to both begin and continue your education.

III. Experiencing Community

This is learning and sharing within the affiliate community in both long distance and group meeting formats. The entire group meets once a year.

On the following pages you will see each section outlined in more detail.

In addition, each new affiliate will have the opportunity to license the use of materials created by Katherine Metz and The Art of Placement. This consists of an extensive collection of writings that chronicle the oral teachings of Professor Lin Yun over the past twenty-two years. Licensing is subject to Katherine’s discernment, and will occur only after participation in the initial six months of the Affiliate Mentoring Program.

Public classes, including public web classes, offered by The Art of Placement, will be offered to affiliates at a reduced price.
